Student Council

Our RCS Student Council is a student-led organization committed to student life at school through projects that promote the general welfare of our school and community while developing leadership among its members.

After students have met the application requirements, and turned in their applications before the stated deadline, an election will be held to nominate students to the student council.  Only upperclassmen may run for a representative and officer position.

Elections are held every Spring. Two representatives are elected from 6th grade through 12th grade. Teachers from each grade fill the role of sponsor.

Sample of events and activities the council will oversee:

  • Dances

  • Christmas Theme Days

  • Homecoming events 

  • Half-time/pep rally events

  • Class meetings

  • Hold monthly meetings

  • Discuss student needs and expectations for the school
