NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Rosehill Christian School Chapter of the National Honor Society was founded for the purpose of recognizing outstanding student achievement in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.  In order for you to become a member of this esteemed organization, you must demonstrate that you possess these qualities.

In order for students to remain a member, they must continue to satisfy these requirements:

  • NHS is a Scholarship organization. All sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a cumulative high school GPA of 4.75 or above may apply for admission to Rosehill Christian School Chapter of the National Honor Society.

  • NHS is a SERVICE organization.  Members are expected to exemplify the hands and feet of Christ.  Completion of the RCS Community Service requirement is a minimum.

  • NHS also focuses on LEADERSHIP.  A leader is a role model, both here at school and in the community.  A leader is an enthusiastic supporter of the school and the people that make up the school.  A leader is ready to take charge and help out wherever needed.  In addition, a leader strives to make the school better by working with others to solve problems.

  • CHARACTER is the last component, and this one embodies everything an honor student should be.  A student of strong character is honest, hard-working, disciplined, respectful, and in possession of high Christian standards.  A student of strong character is willing to take responsibility for his/her actions and learn from his/her mistakes.  Moreover, a student of strong character works hard to instill these same values in the people around him/her.

Admission is not automatic.  In addition to having the required GPA, applicants must demonstrate significant accomplishment and/or participation in the other three areas indicated on the application form.
