Hello Rosehill Family!

I hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy. Based on recent data from the Texas Medical Center regarding hospitalizations, I have some good news to share with you.

First, we have successfully run summer athletics, preschool camp, and Camp Eagle with new COVID procedures. God has blessed us and we have not had a COVID incident on campus this summer. I want to thank all parents and students for staying home if you feel sick and for doing your best to help us stay virus free during our summer activities.

Second, your teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for school. We are planning to open school in person with some new screening, hand washing, and social distancing practices. We have developed a high level description of three operating levels at Rosehill designed to help us respond to the changing conditions in our community. (See Below)

For the health and safety of our students, staff and families, we are currently planning to start the first quarter of school on operating level three, with the most stringent COVID procedures. This slight inconvenience, though not always enjoyable, is worth the value of being in school this fall. If the COVID cases continue to decline in our community and the restrictions in our larger community loosen, we will pare back our COVID procedures as described in the attached document. Each of you will receive a more detailed document from your grade level principal describing their building specific procedures and operating guidelines.

Third, I want to let you know that as parents, you have the right and responsibility to determine if you want to send your child to Rosehill Christian School for in person instruction. If you choose, you may have your child start school online. Contact your grade level principal if you would like to start this year online for your student and family’s health and safety. Please make the best decision for your family by August 7.

We are looking forward to seeing you on our first day of school, August 12.
