Technology Update
This summer we were able to purchase Apple Mac Books for all of the Upper School Teachers. This purchase enabled us to begin training and preparing teachers for the 2009-2010 school year. 2009-2010 is the year that all upper school students and 8th grade students taking high school courses for credit will need to purchase an Apple computer.
Around December, we will be working with Apple to provide an online store where you can purchase the specific computer with the education discount. More information will be shared at a later date.
Teachers will begin utilizing technology more into instruction, designing curriculum for greater student involvement and preparing to move to more project based instruction. We are also setting up courses so that we can utilize online instruction through our future online school.
In the meantime, welcome to Mr. Don Meyers, Director of Technology, who will be guiding this endeavor. Mr. Meyers comes to Rosehill from the Spring Independent School District where he was a band director, administrator and the Director of Instructional Technology.
