Philosophy

Because each child develops according to his or her own God-given, individual time line, we provide age-appropriate learning experiences to allow each child to progress at his or her own pace.  Each child will experience growth--mentally, physically, spiritually, socially and emotionally--through hands-on activities in learning centers, as well as during seat work and circle times.

Each member of our team is a professing Christian and active participant in their church.  Our teachers incorporate appropriate Bible stories and verses, striving to lay a solid foundation for the development of a biblical worldview in the mind and heart of each child.

As children progress through our program, they receive a strong academic foundation to fully prepare them to thrive in Kindergarten and in the grades to follow.

Purpose

The purpose of our preschool program is to provide a loving, nurturing Christian environment allowing us to assist parents in preparing their child for a life-long love of learning.  We believe our program presents a significant opportunity for Rosehill Christian School to minister to young children and their families.

To accomplish these goals, we commit to provide:

• A quality weekday program built on developmentally appropriate practices.
• Curriculum that is biblically based and includes Bible stories and thoughts appropriate to the child’s level of understanding.
• Staff who profess Christ as Savior and exhibit Christian traits in caring for children and in interactions with families and coworkers.
• Positive guidance for children that encourages problem solving and management of negative emotions.
• Respect and understanding of others without regard to race gender, nationality, religion, or background.
• Planned small and large-group activities that permit each child to progress and enjoy success.

Value to Rosehill Christian School

• Extension of ministry to many parents and children who may or may not see the value of Christian Education.  RCS Preschool also serves as an outreach ministry to many parents and children who do not attend any church, and as a reinforcement of teaching for those who do attend.

Value to God

• Helps enlarge the Kingdom.  “Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven...” (Matthew 6:10).
