Dear God,
Thank you that you make all things new. Thank you for all that you've allowed into our lives this past year, the good along with the hard things, which have reminded us how much we need you and rely on your presence filling us every single day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The New Year can often bring a mixed bag of emotions and memories for many of us. Some may have just experienced the best year ever and look forward to an even greater one looming ahead. Others may have just trudged through one deep struggle after another. The fresh calendar year brings desperate hope for things to be better, with an ache for the still-fresh wounds to slowly begin their process of healing.
Whether you’ve just walked through the greatest year of your life, or are incredibly glad to see this one finally over, one truth still rings clear amidst it all. You are not alone. Not ever.
Our God is a “with us" God. On the heels of the celebration of the birth of our King, that reminder has the power to carry us right into a fresh, new start. He is Immanuel, God with us. And though things and people around us shift and change, our God never changes.

WITH SINCERE GRATITUDE TO OUR FAMILIES

We want to share a special note we recevied from Intercept Ministries. They were the recipients of the donation made from our Golf Tournament proceeds to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

Dear Rosehill Christian School families,

Thank you for choosing Intercept Ministries to receive your gracious gift to help in the recovery of our local Hurricane Harvey victims. With your help, we supplied each family with heaters, warm blankets, new jackets, toiletries, and food, to help them make it through their first winter after losing everything. We received many hugs and thank you's from each family.

It is the kindness you showed that reminds them to "Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go". Joshua 1:9

There are families still living in hotels and not sure where they will go next. You all for sure put smiles on their faces.

With thanks and appreciation,
Intercept Ministries

OPERATION 'CHOOSE KINDNESS'

We are rolling out a new program called "Operation Choose Kindness" on January 10th in grades K-6.

Goal:  Students will be able to

  • Recognize that their words and actions affect others.
  • Identify needs around them and recognize others first.
  • Put into practice the commandment of kindness that is given by God.

Purpose:

  • To demonstrate the attribute of kindness which was given by God through His Word. (Luke 6:35, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:12, Galatians 5:22)

A student will earn a "feather" when he/she is observed showing an "above and beyond" act of kindness.  Students in Grades K-4 will be recognized in Chapel.  Students in Grades 5-6 will be recognized in their classroom.  All feathers will be attached to the eagle that will be displayed in E-Commons.
