PTO CORNER Our Otis Spunkmeyer Fundraiser is in full swing!  Money and order forms are due on Friday, October 6th and cookies will be distributed on November 14th.
Volunteers are needed to help serve our Chick-fil-A lunch on Friday October 13th. If you would like to help, please sign up at rcseagles.ivolunteer.com.
“Treat the Teachers” Day is October 17th. Be watching for the sign up on iVolunteer to bring a treat or a snack to building D entry during drop off that morning. Let’s surprise our teachers with a workroom spread that lets them know how much we appreciate them!
It's time to turn in your Box Tops for Education!  We will be collecting from now until October 27th and prizes will be awarded to lower school students who meet their goals.
The PTO will be providing homemade cookies for the Fall Open House, which takes place on October 26th.  If you love to bake, please visit iVolunteer to sign up to bring some of the cookies that we hope to provide that evening.  We would love for you to help us impress our prospective families!

4H & THE WALLER COUNTY FAIRRosehill 4-H is actively involved in the Waller County Fair which began September 29th. The fair runs through October 7th and we have many students showing projects this year. Please be sure to check out their website for the complete fair schedule. If you have any questions about how your student might become involved in 4-H in order to be a part of this time-honored tradition, please contact Christie Newell. Good luck to all of our students who will be representing our school and our Lord with pride at the fair this year!

Last Wednesday, September 27th, was the start of the RCS 4H Archery Practice out at The Oil Ranch.  Dwain Bankston taught the kids about proper stance, how to hold the bow properly, the removal of a bow from its target, and proper vocabulary.  The kids had a great time practicing.

SPAGHETTI BRIDGESLet the bridge construction begin!  Mrs. Higginbotham has her middle school STEM students beginning to build their spaghetti bridges. There is much anticipation on the final outcome. Stay tuned for updates and more photos to come!

PSAT OCTOBER 11THThe upper school students in grades 8-11 will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 11th. Students should bring their calculator, pencils and water. PSAT is governed by CollegeBoard and as such, students are not permitted into the testing room once testing has started, so please make sure students arrive on time.
There will be no make up PSAT, so students should make every attempt to be in attendance. Students
 will be dismissed at 12:15 that day and seniors will not have school.

GOLF TOURNAMENTOur annual golf tournament preparations are in full swing! You should have recevied a pacakage of information regarding the tournament. If you would like more information, please click HERE to be directed to the website. 

REPORT CARDSReport cards will be delayed this year due to Harvey and the Teacher Training.  Report cards will be e-mailed on Monday, October 23rd. This has no effect on the dates to end and begin the 9-week grading period.  The new grading period will begin on October 16th as scheduled.

CHOIR CONGRATS!Congratulations to Jordan Wooten and Caleb Salazar! Jordan placed 1st and Caleb placed 2nd in their voice part and will be moving on to the next round of auditions for the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Choir. This is quite an accomplishment! We wish you luck and will be praying for you as you compete in the next round!

ARCHEOLOGICAL DIGAre you interested in Archeology?  Would you like your kids to participate in a "dig"?  Kleb Woods Nature Center and Houston Archeological Society are beginning a Public Archeology program, and our first dig day is this Saturday, October 7th from 9:00 to 12:30 p.m. at the Kleb Woods park on Draper road, just off Mueshke. Our participants can learn how to excavate and identify artifacts from this Historic Homestead.  There will also be hands-on displays of prehistoric and historic artifacts, animal bones and petrified wood, and activities like corn grinding for all to try. All activities at Kleb Woods are free to the public.   This will be a continuing program, with digs once a month at this park. For more information, contact Mrs. Sharon Menegaz,  at smenegaz@rcseaglesonline.org.

DRIVE IN NIGHT

Family Spirit Night at Showboat Drive In is Thursday, October 19th. Free Entry & Popcorn to all RCS families and friends! This is a wonderful opportunity to invite anyone who might want a casual opportunity to have a glimpse of Rosehill life.

LETTER JACKETS
Louis Kleeman, our NEFF representative, will be on campus October 10th from 7am-8:00am in building H foyer.  He will be taking orders for those students who met the qualifications for receiving a varsity letter jacket by participating in fall sports (football, volleyball, cross country and cheer). Patches can also be ordered at this time. Please contact Pam Clayton if you have any questions. 
BONFIRE / TAILGATE 2017
Our win against Woodlands Christian Friday night marked Coach Lane's 200th win of his career.  Come help us celebrate this Thursday by tailgating at the bonfire. We will have a food truck beginning at 6:00pm (cash only), a pep rally, a celebration of Coach Lane and more! Join us for our homecoming game Friday night!

EAGLES DEFEAT TWCA
Congratulations to our varsity football team for their win against The Woodlands Christian Academy last Friday night. It was an amazing game that is sure to live in their memories for years to come.

As an added bonus, it was also Coach Lane's 200th win of his career. Definitely a night for celebration! Congratulations to Coach Lane and all of our Eagles and their coaching staff. WOW!
Be sure to join us for the homecoming game this Friday night against the Lions!

PEP RALLYOur Homecoming Pep Rally is this Friday, 10/6. Our dance team will be performing with some of our staff as we celebrate the final day of homecoming week!

  • BEST DRESSED STUDENT: Each class will nominate one student to compete during lunch with other classes. Each class is limited to one entry  unless the theme mandates more than one person (maximum two entries).  The four finalist will be presented and judged by a panel of teachers.  The overall best dressed student in the high school will receive a prize. One best dressed student will be awarded each day.
