“Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.”
- Proverbs 3:5

BACK TO SCHOOL BASHThe RCS Booster Club and RCS Student Council are hosting a Back To School Bash for ALL Rosehill families on Thursday, August 17th from 5PM - 8:30PM in both gyms. Come join us for food, fun, games and to cheer on the Lady Eagles volleyball team as they play St. Thomas.  A free italian meal will be provided at 6:30 PM and Spirit Wear will be available for purchase. We hope to see ALL of our Rosehill families at the event!

STAY INFORMEDAs our new school year begins, please remember that your best source of information is the Weekly News. Be sure to take the time to read it each week so you can stay apprised of what is happening on campus. Be sure to follow us on Facebook for our day to day activites full of information and photos of our students.

One of the biggest challenges of our first week of the school year is definitely carpool. Please remember there is only ONE WAY IN and ONE WAY OUT. There are designated drop off areas for each grade level, and those details can be found on the CARPOOL page of the website, or by clicking HERE. THE PORTE CACHE IS NEVER A DROP ZONE! Please wait in line for carpool or park your car if you wish to come into the building in the mornings. This rule certainly holds true with afternoon carpool. The only vehicles allowed to pull under a porte cache for carpool are the winners of the porte cache pick up in Building B (they puchased this at the Gala).

Keeping our students safe is the most important part of our day. We are making note of license plates of the offenders. Please do not put the school in the position of having to contact you in this regard. Safety first.

PTO CORNERWe would like to welcome everyone to our first PTO meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 29th at 8:30 AM in the E Commons building.  At the meeting, we will give you a sneak peek at the year's upcoming events, and show you all the different ways that you can get involved in the school.

One of our first events is our New Parent Meet and Greet on Monday, August 21st at 7PM in the Building H Foyer. We are looking for volunteers to help provide food for this event. If you are interested in helping out with the event you can contact Courtney Monsive at cmonsive@gmail.com.

Be sure to check for these and more volunteer opportunities at rcseagles.ivolunteer.com. Here you can sign up for lunch and recess duty, donating food for the New Parent Meet and Greet, as well as school-wide volunteering opportunities in the library, or as a classroom helper. Check back frequently as we are constantly adding more events.

We are always so happily overwhelmed at the time our parent volunteers spend on campus with our students. We are truly an extension of your Christian home when teaching and mentoring to your children, so your involvement is greatly appreciated.

Please remember if you plan to spend any time on campus or field trips with our students, we need you to complete the Ministry Safe Training. This is a requirement for all adults over the age of 18 who interact with our students on campus or school functions. The training is good for three years, so if you did this last year, you are ready for the new year. If you have not completed the training, please email Casey Herring at cherring@rcseagles.org for more details on this on-line training program you can complete at your convenience.

Please also know you must complete a background check to be on campus or to go on trips with our students. Their safety is our most important priority. Simply complete the Background Check Form and send it in to Donna Cox at dcox@rcseagles.org.

In addition to Ministry Safe Training and Background Checks, those parents who want to chaperone field trips, please submit a copy of your drivers license and insurance to keep on file with Donna Cox in the business office. Please email the documents to dcox@rcseagles.org.

Words cannot explain how happy we are for two of our Rosehill kids! Maria Fussell (2017 graduate) and Cash Kelso (Senior) in a band by the name of Days In 11, have hit iTunes with a Christian & Gospel/Alternative Rock album consisting of 3 songs; What A Love, Hourglass, & Unspoken.
Cash wrote and perfomed all of the music himself while Maria wrote all of the lyrics and put it to the music. This is an awe inspiring joint venture that these two have created and we are hoping all of our Rosehill families will be excited to enjoy and share this album with friends and family. We look forward to seeing what is ahead for this muscial duo. Be sure to go to iTunes to capture the album for your collection!

Communication is the essence of all relationships, whether here on earth or with our Father in Heaven. We must learn, therefore, how to use our communication to deepen our relationship with Him and others, through speaking, listening, reading and writing. We glorify God in communication when we choose to use the words that bring glory to Him. The Book of James warns us to be careful in what we say, for words have the power to heal or to hurt, to build up or tear down, to encourage or condemn. (James 3:5-12)
