“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17

GRANDPARENTS & SPECIAL FRIENDS

Our annual Grandparents & Special Friends Day will take place on Friday, February 16th from 9AM-11AM. Coffee and light refreshments will be served in Building H beginning at 9AM. There will be a performance by preschool through 4th grade from 9:30-10:15. Classroom visits will begin at the conclusion of the performance for all grades. While there will be activities in preschool - 5th grades, the upper school will welcome sneak-a-peak visitors.

All grades, preschool through high school will be released at 11:30AM for the day and there will be no extended care. There is also no school on Monday, February 19th.

SPEECH MEET RESULTS

Congratulations to each and every student who faithfully presented his/her selection in the speech meet.  The judges were absolutely blown away by the presentations!  There were so many strong performances, we had a very difficult time deciding, as there were ties in many rooms.  Whether or not your child advances to the next level this year, we want them to know that we were thankful to witness so many amazing pieces, many that nearly brought us to tears.  Furthermore, without your assistance and support, these meets would not be possible.   Public speaking is a lifelong journey for which adults still struggle; so it is so exciting to see so many students giving their all. The first and second place winners from each grade will advance to the ACSI Regional Competition in Huntsville on Friday, March 2.  You can expect an email with more specific ACSI meet details very soon.  Please let Mrs. Strange know ASAP if your child cannot attend the competition, so that she can arrange a substitute.

FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE

Hopefully your daughters have brought home their Father Daughter Dance invitation!  After such a extraordinary dance last year, PTO has decided to expand this fundraiser.  We've added a second dance to allow more grades to attend and we have moved it to the gym!
The dances will be held on Saturday, February 17th.  For Kinder through 4th grade, the dance will be held from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.  For 5th grade through 8th grade, the dance will be held from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
Each girl will receive a complementary photo print at the dance this year.  You may also purchase additional prints directly from the photographer.
In order to make this year's dance a success, PTO needs your help!  Below is the link to the sign up on iVolunteer.   We need help with refreshments, decorating, and clean up.  Moms, this is your chance to sneak a peek!

They had an outstanding season finishing 1st in their division and 3rd in the district tournament. They finished the season with a 15-3 record.

The Rosehill Junior High Boys Basketball Program had a tremendous season during the 2017-18 campaign and saw significant improvement in all three teams!
The C Team went 5-6 on the season and finished in 3rd place for the end of the year district tournament.
The B Team went 9-6 on the season and finished in 4th place in the district tournament.
