Spiritual Life

The academic life at Rosehill Christian School is not compartmentalized apart from one’s spiritual life. The integration of the parts into a whole produces a student whose view of the world is based in true, intelligent, authentic, Jesus-like core character.

In pursuit of this integration, Rosehill Christian School serves the community, area congregations, and the family with the love of Christ.

Chapels
Time for praise and worship is built into a student’s weekly timeline. Each week, students attend a chapel service designed for their grade level. Students are challenged spiritually through music, prayer, and teaching from God’s Word. Below is the weekly chapel schedule:

      • Elementary Grades K-4: Wednesday morning
      • Middle School Grades 5-8: Thursday morning
      • High School Grades 9-12: Thursday morning following Middle School Chapel

Scripture Memory
Our desire is for students to have a relationship with the God who created the universe. Our God reveals Himself in His creation and His Word. Therefore, it is important that students memorize the Word of God. This is a challenge for all students at every level.

Retreats
Realizing that friendships are built on campus and in off campus activities, two retreats are scheduled each year. At these retreats, students spend time bonding in team activities that provide bonding with one another and challenge their to grow in their relationship with Christ.

High School: A 4-day and 3-night retreat is held in early September at a remote camping facility (Carolina Creek Christian Camp) where students have the opportunity to have fun in a group setting outside the walls of a classroom. This fall retreat brings the high school students together in an environment that bonds students together and challenges them to grow in their relationship to Christ. A special speaker is invited to teach and encourage the students how to continue loving God and loving others.

5th Grade: In the spring of each school year, 5th grade students attend a 3-day and 2-night retreat at Pine Cove Christian Camp. This retreat allows students the ability to bond with their teachers and with one-another through challenging group activities and a challenge to have a closer relationship with Christ. Parents are welcome to attend this camp along with their child.
