THE JOURNEY PRODUCES TRANSFORMATION
RCS is a large family unit that prays together, supports each other, and values each other. We employ spiritually mature staff and faculty and develop student leaders who impact the entire campus. The Moms in Prayer and Dads in Prayer parent groups join the PTO and the sports booster club to continually lift up our school family in prayer. Finally, Bible classes, as well as weekly chapel services are integrated into each student's curriculum to prepare students for a life of loving God and one another.
THE JOURNEY PREPARES STUDENTS ACADEMICALLY
We believe that challenging our students academically is important from Pre-K through their senior year of high school. Our enriched curriculum, which includes honors, dual credit, and AP classes, offers many opportunities for our students to excel. This is evidenced by the fact that many of our graduates earn enough college credits during high school to enter college as sophomores. We believe that teaching children to love learning is paramount to their success as life-long learners; it begins at an early age and is reinforced at every level.
THE JOURNEY TEACHES SERVICE
Students at RCS are taught the importance of service as well as their personal responsibility to recognize the needs of their community. We encourage them to volunteer and be a part of their community. High school collectively volunteers more than of 4,500 hours each year. The journey teaches them to think of others before themselves, equipping them for eternity.
THE JOURNEY DEVELOPS COURAGE
Each child learns that his significance comes from being a child of God. At RCS, we are committed to promoting a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ that encompasses all aspects of life. The Bible-based curriculum and extra-curricular programs ensure that the students learn Scripture and develop into young men and women who possess wisdom and a Christian worldview. Our goal is to develop courage in our students so they can firmly defend their faith without hesitation throughout their particular calling in life.
THE JOURNEY NEEDS COMMUNITY
We offer a variety of extra-curricular activities to help children discover their God-given talents and to pursue them with excellence and passion. For this reason, students are encouraged to participate in multiple extra-curricular activities. Students enjoy participating in 4-H, art, music, chorale, and drama. A full range of athletic activities help to develop the strength and character of our students. A state-of-the-art training facility includes an athletic training center, football stadium, eight lane rubber track, baseball field and gymnasium. Extra-curricular participation fosters community among students and highlights their need for each other.
THE JOURNEY EQUIPS FOR ETERNITY
One of the major themes of the Bible is an emphasis on Christ being our future hope in glory. This is not our final resting place. Our students are taught that Jesus Christ represents us before a holy God because of His conquering power over death on the cross.
The “Good News” is that, while all have sinned, Christ died for us. “For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life.” John 3:16
