Rosehill Christian School Administration
Head of School, Don Barnhart
Don Barnhart has joined us as the new Head of Rosehill Christian School! We are blessed to see how God’s hand prepared him over his lifetime for this important position of leadership in our Rosehill family.

Don began his career as an elementary school teacher after receiving a Bachelor of Science in K-12 education from the University of Delaware. While teaching elementary school, he earned his Masters Degree in Instructional Systems Development from the University of Maryland Graduate School, Baltimore. During this time, not only did he teach students, but he was also called upon to teach teachers.

After that, Don then embarked on a successful consulting career in change management and instructional design at Accenture and 2Develop. He used his knowledge of systems development and conflict resolution to help companies, churches, and non-profit organizations identify troublesome issues, develop and implement solutions to these challenges, and assist staff members in embracing the rationale for change while grasping the necessary new skills involved.

Don has already brought his commitment to excellence and his skill set to the Rosehill family in the past. Serving as an RCS board member for 9 years, he has generously assisted the board in the areas of policy governance and strategic planning.

Since 1987, Don has taught hundreds of children and thousands of adults across a wide range of curriculum, including 8 years as a teacher in Bible Study Fellowship. With his expertise in change management, Don has been able to help organizations adopt and institutionalize new processes and behaviors to continuously improve and grow. As a leadership consultant, Don has taught numerous leaders how to truly lead, develop, and spiritually shepherd those under their care.

A fervent follower of Jesus, Don’s focus is to assist others in establishing and building a relationship with Jesus Christ. With a devoted heart for his family, he and his wife Jill are active members of The Church at Cross Lake. Their three children, Kate, Ben and Georgia, are graduates of Rosehill Christian School and are now successfully pursuing their next phase of life.
