Academics: Middle School

Middle School is made up of students in grades 6 through 8. A rigorous curriculum is composed of the following core subjects:

  • English / Language Arts
  • Math
  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • Bible

Students in 8th grade, who qualify, may take the following courses for High School credit:

  • Algebra 1
  • Integrated Physics and Chemistry (IPC)
  • Spanish I
  • Computer Applications

Students must earn an overall grade of 80 for the year to receive High School credit. Otherwise, the student will need to repeat the course upon entering 9th grade.

Students are able to participate in a wide variety of electives such as:

  • Drama
  • Choir
  • Art
  • Computers
  • PE / Athletics

The 6th through 8th grade operate on a "modified" block schedule.
