Middle School

RCS Middle School encompasses grades 6 – 8. Middle school students are on an 8 period daily schedule which allows time for instruction in the core subject areas. Required subjects are English\language arts, math, science, social studies and Bible. Students also have the opportunity to participate in athletics, art, choir, and drama.

Numerous activities throughout the year help to build relationships among students, their peers and their teachers such as:

• 8th Grade Texas Tour in April … A 3 day – 2 night trip to famous Texas landmarks
• 6th & 7th Grade Survivor Night … Lock-in for student with all night games and activities
• 8th Grade Dance … All students learn various types of dances from country-western to the chicken
• Various field trips … Field trips are taken to various locations across the greater Houston area
