Music

Lower School students enjoy music classes as an extracurricular activity.  Choral, music theory, games, studies of great composers, and praise music comprise much of the music class that is offered to grades K – 5.  Lower School students perform each year in two major musicals, as well as at Grandparents’ Day and various other times during the academic year.  Students in grades 4 and 5 learn to play the recorder as part of their music curriculum.  Private music lessons are available upon request.

Art

Art classes are part of the RCS extracurricular activity offering as well.  Many of our elementary students win medals at the annual ACSI competition.  Lower School offers art contests, both in-house and community-wide, to our students.

Dance

Rosehill Christian School offers classes and private lessons in ballet, praise dance, hip-hop, and classical dance as after-school activities, all of which are taught by professional instructors.

Band

Students in the 4th and 5th grades are eligible to participate in band.  Band meets during the school day and is an extracurricular activity. There is an added cost for the course.

Hand-Bell Choir

Students in 4th and 5th grades are also eligible for Hand-Bell Choir. The HBC performs at Christmas concerts and other special gatherings.
