Prayer

Every morning shortly after the morning bell sounds, RCS Elementary students are greeted with morning exercises via the public address system.  Students in the 5th grade class take turns leading the pledges to the American and Christian flags, and the pledge to the Bible.  This is followed by announcements, the Scripture verse for the day, and prayer. 

Planning

In every classroom, teachers begin each day with individual prayer requests and general prayer for their class.  All subject areas are approached with prayer and integration of God’s Word and principles.  RCS faculty and staff meet corporately to pray for the students and the school. 

Professionalism

When teachers are professionally observed and evaluations take place, one of the earmarks of evaluating lessons is that the observed lesson contains the elements of Scriptural reference and Biblical principles.  All teachers take part in staff development that is spiritual in every aspect.  Chapel services are held every Wednesday for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade.  Separate chapel services follow for grades 4 and 5.  Chapel services follow the theme for the year of "Loving God, Loving Others" and are prepared and delivered by the faculty.
