The new school year is rapidly approaching for 2008-2009. Rosehill Christian School is a place of academic excellence and spiritual formation for our students. Rosehill Christian School has a program for Lower School (Kindergarten through 5th grade) that is designed to reach the goals of our school using a variety of enrichment curriculums embedded in the overall academic endeavor. We utilize a rigorous curriculum combination to maximize the achievement and developmental formation of each child.
Along with the core disciplines of Math, Science, History, Bible, and Language Arts, we include Art, Computer, Music, Spanish, and P.E. to broaden the nurturing experience of learning. Our teachers are ever watchful to instructionally flush out the giftedness of each child we are blessed with the privilege of teaching.
For over sixteen years, Rosehill Christian School has prepared young people for success in life by emphasizing academic excellence, commitment to Christ, and the spirit of excellence, all enabling service of others and Christ. Please allow me to share some exciting things that are going on at Rosehill Christian School:
- Our desire is to meet benchmarks at each grade level. The school is aligning objectives with the State of Texas, and the goal of Rosehill Christian School is to meet and exceed those objectives.
- New enrichment plans are being made in the areas of Science, Library, Language Arts, and Fine Arts.
- Our library holdings are increasing, as are our technological resources, to assist the Accelerated Reader Program.
- Several teachers have attended summer workshops in Integrated, Interdisciplinary Curriculum, and have learned dynamic instructional strategies designed to teach the "whole child".
- We are adding more after school programs, summer academics, and extracurricular clubs.
