Extended Care is provided as a service to our school family.  Free Morning Care begins at 7:45 a.m. and dismisses at 8:15 a.m. with the first bell of the day.  After Care is direct billed to a family’s account and begins with the conclusion of carpool and dismisses by 5:00 p.m.

MORNING EXTENDED CARE

Preschool & Lower School:

Extended care is available at no charge in the morning.  Preschool children must be walked into the building & checked in with the teacher on duty.  Preschool & Lower School students will be accepted for morning extended care between 7:30 & 8:00 a.m.   (The time of the school’s phone system will serve as the official school time.)

If a child arrives between 8:00 & 8:15 a.m., a parent is asked to stay to supervise the child in the hallway by the Lower School Front Office until the 1st school bell of the day rings (8:15 a.m.) 

Upper School:

All students must report to extended care upon arrival unless they are participating in a supervised school activity.

Upper School students arriving between 7:30 & 8:15 are to report to Building G.  Students will be dismissed at 8:15. 

AFTER-SCHOOL EXTENDED CARE

After-school extended care is available until 5:00 at a cost of $12.00 per afternoon. 

Volunteers will not be charged for extended care provided their child’s reservation has been received & confirmed in advance.  Volunteer child care reservations may be made by emailing afroelich@rcseagles.org.   

Younger siblings participating in extended care because their brother/sister is involved in a team activity, may not be charged for extended care provided the child’s reservation has been received & confirmed in advance (afroelich@rcseagles.org).

Students participating in extended care because they are riding home with someone else will be charged the extended care fee.  (This also pertains to students remaining to ride home with RCS employees).  Extended Care fees will be direct billed & must be paid in full each month.

Students are expected to be picked up by 5:00.  The time set on RCS phones will be considered the official time of record.  Regardless of the reason, a $30 late fee per child will be assessed for children picked up after this time.  Should a student remain after 5:15, an additional $5 per minute, per child will be charged. 

Please note, there is no extended care available when students are released at noon.

Preschool & Lower School:

All students in Preschool & Lower School are expected to check in with the extended care supervisor (on the playground) if they are not participating in a supervised school activity. 

Upper School:

All students in Upper School are expected to check in with the extended care supervisor in the Media Center if they are not participating in a supervised school activity.

“Staff Kids” also have the option of staying with their parent after school dismisses, provided this has been pre-arranged with the Extended Care Supervisor. 

All unsupervised students will be sent to the Principal’s office.
