Admissions: Financial Information 2008-2009

Application / Testing Fee:

Application/Testing Fee for New Students (K-12) ... $ 400.00

Application Fee for New Preschool Students ... $ 200.00

*Application/Testing fees are non-refundable/non-transferable.

* Students beginning after 1/1/09 are required to pay the application/testing fees & the instructional fees in full. However, re-enrollment fees for 2009-2010 will be waived for these returning students.

Instructional Fee:

Instructional Fees may be paid during the month of February (monthly tuition is not drafted during this month to make it easier for our families to pay the upcoming year’s re-enrollment fees and instructional fees). After June 1, Instructional Fees are non-transferable/non-refundable. If applicable, late fees will be assessed on the 5th of each month for each enrolled child, until instructional fees are paid in full.

Methods of Payment:

Payment in Full. Payment directly to the school by check or cash by June 1, 2008.

Payment through FACTS. For all deferred payments (11 monthly payments excluding February due to re-enrollment fees for 2009-2010), tuition may be paid through one of the following methods:

1.)  Automatic Bank Payment (ACH) budgeted through FACTS. Payment date may be       either the 5th or the 20th from checking or savings account.
2.)  Automatic billing to MasterCard, Discover, or AMEX with a convenience fee. Payment in full may also be made this way if you wish to collect credit card reward points for paying your tuition.

Withdrawals & Late Enrollees:
*In the event a student enrolls/withdraws after the first day of the school year, tuition will be pro-rated. Balance due to RCS must be paid by cash or money order before school records may be released.
* Students that enter once the school year has begun will have their annual tuition pro-rated for the number of days they actually attend.

Athletic Fees (Non-Refundable):

If a student chooses to participate in athletic programs, associated fees will be billed directly to your account and are due by the invoice due date. A late fee will be applied each month where a previous balance exists.

Other Fees & Costs ... For Your Information

Listed below are some other fees that may be encountered throughout the school year. These fees may be billed directly to your account and are due by the invoice due date .A late fee will be applied each month where a previous balance exists.(Note:Trip fees are estimates and are based on the previous year’s expenses.)

6th – 12th grades

Visual & Performing Arts Fees
$50 per semester per Elective (Art, Choir & Drama)

Approximately $250 for the Texas History Tour

9th –12th grades

Spiritual Emphasis Retreats Approximately
$100 in the Fall and $225 in the Spring

Approximately $1,200 for optional class trips (Washington,D.C., Mission Trip, etc.)

Extended Care

Morning Care has no charge.
Afternoon Care … $12.00/Afternoon.  Significant late charges apply.  Refer to Parent Handbook.

Hot Lunches

Optional hot lunches are available for $3.50 - $5.50 beginning in September.

Late Fees
Late fees are charged by FACTS directly to families with late payments.
Late Fees Late fees of$35/month are charged by RCS for late payments on family accounts.

Financial Assistance:

RCS has a limited amount of funds available for partial, need-based scholarships. FFNA, an outside Christian organization, utilizes a confidential, application process to determine need. Deadlines are strictly followed as scholarships are communicated by May 1.For more information, contact the Business Office.

Financial Support:

RCS depends on the Annual Fund Campaign to meet its operating budget. Currently, tuition covers about 80% of operating expenses. A generous commitment to the Annual Fund insures educational excellence for our children. Participation is requested from each family.
