Admissions Forms
PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY
New student applications are accepted every year beginning at our annual Prospective Family Open House for fall enrollment. We continue accepting applications during the Spring and Summer. Please contact our Admissions Office (see information below), as we continually evaluate students of families who have been transferred or who decide that they would like their children to receive a quality Christian education. The application process begins with the submission of forms and paperwork as listed below:
- Signed and completed applications need to be accompanied by the following:
- Registration fee
- Copy of report card
- Standardized testing from current and previous years
- Up-to-date immunization record
- Birth certificate
- Pastor’s questionnaire
- Teacher recommendations
- Statement of Faith
- Request for records
- IQ and placement testing may be scheduled once the registration fee and application have been submitted.
- Once application files and testing are complete they will be given to the appropriate principal to schedule an interview.
- An administrator will interview all applicants. The guidance counselor and Summit director will be part of the interview team where appropriate.
- Students who apply for admission to Rosehill Christian School are evaluated on the criteria listed on this page. The admissions team looks at all of the information presented to make a decision as to whether Rosehill would be a "good fit" for the student. Admission is based upon the following criteria:
A prospective student will be evaluated for acceptance based upon the documents submitted, an interview and the criteria listed below.
Testing Parameters
- The candidate's test scores must fall within accepted standards of average to above average IQ.
Past Performance
- Indicators of past performance may be from the following
- Past standardized testing
- Grades
Past School Success
- Indicators of past student success may be from the following:
- Report card grades
- Teacher / Administrator recommendations
Completed and submitted documents in the admissions packet
Interview:
- If all other parameters are at acceptable levels to the review committee, an interview will be scheduled with the family.
Covenant School
- We are a Covenant School for grades K-12, which means that at least one parent must be a believer in the saving Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Early Childhood
- Children in Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten should be able to maintain consistent, acceptable behavioral standards without extensive staff support or at the expense of the progress of other students.
- Preschool enrollment is for children 3 and 4 years of age before September 1st. Preschoolers must be toilet-trained to be accepted.
- Children enrolling in Kindergarten must be 5 years old before September 1st. Admission testing is required for all Kindergarten students, both continuing RCS students and new RCS students.
Other Admission Criteria:
- Past Disciplinary Issues
- Students who have past serious disciplinary problems or who have been expelled may not qualify for admission.
- Space
- Openings are based upon available seats in each class. Please check with Admissions Director, Sherry Johnson for space availability. Waiting lists are created when all seats are taken in a class. New classes are added based upon classroom availability and at least 5 new students on a waiting list.
Financial Standing
- If the family is transferring from another Christian or private school, they should be in good financial standing with the previous school.
Summit Program
- Rosehill is not staffed to accommodate students with severe learning differences. However, some students with mild learning differences may qualify for the Summit Program.
- Note that the Summit Program is an added cost of up to $6,000 per student based upon services needed.

After the interview, the family will be notified by phone and/or mail as to whether the student is accepted or denied admissions. If the student is accepted, the business office will contact the family concerning tuition payments, etc.
If you are applying for admission during the school year for the current school year, please allow 2 weeks for this process. If you apply for the fall after August 1st (or less than 2 weeks before school begins), your child may be delayed in starting school.
