About Us

Rosehill Christian School was founded in 1990. Prior to 1990, Rosehill Christian School was a ministry of Boys' and Girls' Country in Hockley, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Robinson founded a Christian school on their campus to minister to the students who lived at Boys' and Girls' Country. Students from the surrounding community were invited to enroll as well. When Boys' and Girls' Country chose to send their students to public school, a group of parents formed a Board and became a non-profit organization with a vision. Rosehill Christian School and its new Board were allowed to rent buildings on the Boys' and Girls' Country campus for two years. Finally, the school was faced with having to provide their own facilities. A board member stepped out by faith and placed money down on fifteen acres located about six miles west of Tomball, Texas, on FM 2920.

The Rosehill Christian School elementary building was completed in 1993. The chapel (now Building C) was finished in 1994, and both the Upper School building (now Building D) and open-air pavilon (now enclosed Building E) were completed in 1995. The preschool building was constructed the following year.

Rosehill Christian School became a member of the Association of Christian Schools International, or ASCI, in 1994 and joined TAPPS (Texas Associationof Private and Parochial Schools) during the 1995 -1996 school year. Throughout the 1990's, numerous athletic and fine arts programs were added to the challenging academic curriculum and the first Senior Class of Rosehill Christian School graduated in 2000.

In 2005, two generous constituents made generous donations to completely pay off all debt that Rosehill Christian School incurred during the preceding fourteen years of construction and growth. This gift also allowed the school to establish the Rosehill Charitable Foundation, whose established purpose is to support and enhance Rosehill Christian School.

The ongoing financial support of generous constituents has allowed Rosehill Christian School to persist in challenging studnets academically, while developing them spiritually. The growing faculty and facilites enable Rosehill Christian School's student/teacher ratio to remain far lower than in the public school system, and classroom technology is rapidly advancing to keep pace with the changing instructional needs and learning styles of today's youth.

Most importantly, however, Rosehill Christian School remains committed to its original vision of integrating God's voice and vision into the lives of the students it serves while providing high academic and moral standards. As in the early days of Rosehill Christian School, the principles of God's kingdom on earth are taught in order to glorify Christ in all endeavors, thereby strenghtening families, communities, and values.

Rosehill Christian School serves students from the Greater Northwest Houston - Montgomery County areas of Magnolia, Cy-Fair, Tomball, Klein, Waller and Spring.  We are a fully accredited PK - 12 school with 325+ students and growing. Situated on FM 2920, we are conveniently located five miles west of Tomball, close to US 290.

Directions

The school's over 20 acre campus is located at 19830 FM 2920 in northwest Harris County in Tomball.

• From US 290 West, exit Mueschke. Travel north on Mueschke approximately 10 minutes. Turn right at the light on FM 2920. The school is immediately on the left. Use the 2nd entrance.
• From US 290 East, exit FM 2920 and travel east approximately 8 miles. After you travel through the light at the intersection of 2920 and Mueschke, the school is immediately on the left. Use the 2nd entrance.
• From FM 249 North, turn left on FM 2920 and travel west approximately 6 miles. The school is located on the right. Use the 1st entrance.
• From I-45, exit FM 2920/Tomball. Travel west on FM 2920 approximately 25 miles. The school is located on the right. Use the 1st entrance.
