from the Principal:
Where does endurance and patience come from? Some would say patience is a virtue and held by precious few. In the fast paced world we live in, patience is almost obsolete. Endurance, on the other hand might be looked upon thtough the eyes of a trainer who firmly encourages the charges under his care to never give up. You see, the two are inseparable, for endurance requires patience for the learner as well as the teacher.
The power of our task as educators is not limited to strength or need, but rather God’s supply and according to His might. You see sometimes the teacher has the need and the student supplies the resource and the reverse is true as well - the need of the student is what the teacher supplies. Endurance is the opposite of cowardice and despondency - so many are not willing to wait. Patience is the opposite of revenge and retaliation.
Patiently waiting for the new building, waiting to see how the classes will be divided, enduring the wait at the water fountain, enduring the wait in the car pool line, enduring the heat as the car is still registering 93 degrees after driving 5 miles down 2920 – these are but a few challenges. What if every time we have to endure and be patient we remembered to pray? Prayer will prove a better relationship with Jesus.
Your students are learning to wait their turn and listen to directions, some of them for the first time. I look at it as training ground for virtue. Never despise small beginnings and build with us the strong character that Rosehill Christian School is known to produce!
Patience and endurance come by growing in the knowledge of God and being strengthened with His power and His glorious might (Colossians 1:11, 12).
Endure with patience and…….
Remember,

Kindergarten is busy learning about their Five Senses in Science. They are excited to see how God has created them in using their five senses to find about the world around them. In Social Studies, the children are beginning a unit on Community Helpers. They will focus on a variety of Community Helpers over the next few weeks.

Mrs. Dauterive's students putting their five senses to practice.

Last week, first graders learned about the wonder of God’s creation. We made creation bags to show what God created every day of the week. We also learned what it meant to find rest in God using His example on the seventh day.

The 3rd grade has had a great start to the new school year! We are learning about the struggles a new country has while discussing the Constitutional Convention. Even our founding fathers argued but were diligent to see our government succeed. We have learned through them that working together can bring great success. Multiplication flashcards are flying as we play Around the World to encourage the students to memorize math facts.
4th and 5th graders have been working diligently in both English and History class and are completing their first units and preparing for the first test of the year.
We are continuing to focus our attention on the Lord our Savior as the captain and remembering to keep our eyes on Him and not others. This is a hard concept for our kiddos but we are practicing acts of kindness and remembering to include others.
