The RCS Eagles traveled to Dickinson last Friday for the first TAPPS 2A Division 5 district football game. The Eagles were routed by Pine Drive Christian 53 to 8 in a game that ended in the third quarter. The Eagles fought for control all night but just could not capture it.
With the loss, Rosehill falls to 3-5 overall and 0-1 in district play. The Eagles will play Allen Academy in Bryan this Friday, Oct. 31, for the second district game. Last year, the Eagles defeated Allen Academy 51-6. If they win this week, the Eagles will advance to the playoffs as the district runner-up behind Pine Drive Christian.

Supportive Fans
The Rosehill Christian Eagle Junior High Football team finished out their season Thursday afternoon with a tough loss to Bryan Allen Academy. It was a defensive battle that resulted in a 6-0 loss. The boys played very physical and played their hearts out. Losing is a tough way to finish the season but all heads are held high after finishing the season with a winning record of four wins and three losses. It was great season for these young men who practiced and played hard all season!
RCAA Needs You!
Join the RCAA (Rosehill Christian Athletic Association). Who are we?
The Rosehill Christian Athletic Association (RCAA) was created in 1999 to provide support to the coaching staff, students and athletes of RCS. Every parent is a member and is encouraged to join us in building school pride, assisting our coaches in their efforts and encouraging our athletes to strive for excellence. What do we do?
The RCAA promotes school spirit and provides financial support to the school athletic programs through admission and concession sales at home sporting events. The RCAA also raises funds through a wide variety of activities including spirit wear sales, sales of season sports passes, and by seeking personal and corporate sponsorships. The RCAA also has the privilege of hosting several special events through the course of the year including Homecoming, the Varsity Eagles vs. Old Timers Basketball game and the Sports Awards Banquets. How can you help?
The RCAA is in constant need of volunteers to help promote the school and its athletic program. Volunteers are needed to organize events, assist in the design and purchase of spirit items, maintain school and athletic facilities as well as assist the coaches of each sport.More information is coming soon about how you can get involved.
